XSepptional Designs

My name is Karin Seppanen and I live in Tucson, Arizona. My first beginnings of interest in rocks and gems came along "way back in the day" when I was a bored little girl. My mother would tell me to go look for pretty rocks in the road. (Dirt road, not busy with traffic = good mom.) That was in Minnesota, where I could find beautiful Lake Superior agates just taking a walk. After years of collecting all kinds of rocks and gems, I realized that I should do something with this pastime. Making jewelry seemed like the natural next step.

I enjoy working with semi-precious gemstones, dichroic glass, beach glass, and other items that clients provide for custom orders.

I first learned a bit about wire wrapping from friends in the Minnesota Mineral Club. I later went to the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts in Young Harris, Georgia to learn more.

All of my jewelry is wire wrapped with no soldering involved to hold stones in place. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.
